ARTHUR'S NEWS GUITAR HERO III COMPETITION! Arthur's sponsored a Guitar Hero competition in June. We had a lot of fun with it and hope all the aspiring Heros did as well.  Our finalists were:   Andrew Gable, Anthony Bryant, Kenneth Keener and Cody Boritzki. The Ultimate Guitar Hero was Andrew Gable who took home the $600.00 guitar and amp package. In our continual search for the new and unusual, we've just received a really cool new product -- the Jumbie Jam steel drum  kit.  This is an authentic steel drum on a stand, complete with mallets, songbook/guide and Play-along CD.  A really affordable way to add the steel drum sound to your music!! WHAT IS SPAULTED MAPLE! Spaulted maple results when wood doesn't dry properly and white rot fungus sets in resulting in dark spots in the grain.  Caught at just the right moment, once stabilized the wood is very decorative and often looks like pen and ink drawings. Guitar manufacturers have gotten limited supplies of natural spaulted maple and are making some flat out gorgeous guitars.  We have models in stock by Michael Kelly and Hagstrom.  We just received six of the last available Hagstrom Ultra Swedes and put them all on display. They are so unique that we each like different ones.  Stop in and tell us which one is your favorite.
